Omaha is a thriving community with plenty to offer its residents and visitors to the city. The wave of new development earlier this decade brought us the First National Tower, Union Pacific Headquarters, Qwest Center Omaha and the Holland Performing Arts Center among other notable projects. During this period, we've also seen the beginnings of new Downtown living and entertainment districts including SoMa (South Market), NoDo (North Downtown) and Riverfront Place at Miller's Landing. Mutual of Omaha's Midtown Crossing along with Aksarben Village near the University campus are strong anchors for midtown activity while the West Dodge Expressway and Village Pointe Towne Center drive future development westward to the recently annexed Elkhorn community.
Qwest Center Omaha is now established as a venue for top tier music acts and major national events including the 2008 Olympic Swim Trials and the 2008 NCAA men's basketball tournament and women's volleyball championship. In 2011, the College World Series will relocate from the historic Rosenblatt Stadium to the new TD Ameritrade Park under construction in Downtown Omaha. The Olympic Swim Trials will return in 2012 and will coincide with the College World Series. Once vacated, The Henry Doorly Zoo will take advantage of the adjacent Rosenblatt site for expansion of its world class facility.

J. Scott REALTY PARTNERS provides asset management and advisory services to commercial property owners who now face challenges unforeseen just a few years back. Tenant instability means uncertain cash flow making it difficult, if not impossible, to meet lender and investor requirements. Increased financing regulation means tighter lending guidelines that constrains existing loans and limits new funding.
So is it all doom and gloom? Certainly not, but difficult times require aggressive decision-making today in order to reposition projects for better days ahead. If you find yourself in a tough spot searching for answers, please allow us to help you work through these difficult times.
